Hope You Enjoyed L.A.D.S. Campout 2019

Gate Entrance: The National Forest Preserve requires the entry gate locked at all times. The 4-digit combination code is 4628. Please lock the gate upon entering or leaving the campsite.
Can of Vegetables: Please bring a can (or 2) of vegetables for Friday Night ‘Stone Soup’’
Sage: a great deterrent for mosquitoes. Bring a branch or two if you have some.
Frozen Water: Bring one jug of frozen water for our beverage coolers.
Rake/Broom: Bring one for your personal campsite
Dogs: The National Forest Preserve require dogs to be on leashes at all times. Also, no dogs allowed at main campsite during meals.
Volunteers: It takes many people to have fun and have a successful campout. You will have the opportunity to sign up for one event at campout.
Campfire Wood: Firewood is available at the main campsite for your own personal use.
Extra Day: the LADS campout is Fri to Sunday @ 12:00pm. Some people stay over until Monday. You are responsible for your own food and beverage on Sunday after 12:00pm.

Hope You Enjoyed the Poker Tournament

We hosted our bi-annual poker tournament on May 17th. We had a great turn out.

Poker Tournament raised $557 for LADS
Congratulations to Jimmy Tran who won $100 for 1st place.
We wish to thank the following individuals who helped make this fundraiser for LADS a total success: Chair Brian Alexander, Mentor Jim Calbreath who learned the ropes of poker fundraising, Jason Fruits and Hillary Key who slung Jell-O shots all evening, Jeff Granberg who took everyone’s money for 50/50.

LADS hosted our annual Chili & Salsa Cookoff.

Congratulations to our winners: Chili - 1st place: Skip $75, 2nd place: Marie $35, 3rd place: Skip $15. Salsa - 1st place: Manny $75, 2nd place: Ship $30, 3rd place: Alex $15.
A big ’shout-out’ to our judges: Karma Skye (aka Travis DeLong) and TC (aka Carl Gomer-Walter & 2018 Friend of LADS award winner). Thank you to all participants and guests.
